PATRICK J. CAMILLI OF WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, NJ CHARGED
WITH MURDER, POSSESSION OF A WEAPON FOR AN UNLAWFUL
PURPOSE AND UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF A WEAPON
Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of PATRICK J. CAMILLI (DOB: 10/25/1964; single; unemployed) of 41 Lexington Court, Washington Township, NJ, on charges of murder, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and unlawful possession of a weapon. The arrest is the result of an investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and the Washington Township Police Department under the direction of Chief Richard Skinner. On Sunday, October 24, 2021, at approximately 12:05 a.m., the Washington Township Police Department received a 911 call reporting an incident at 41 Lexington Court in Washington Township. Officers responded and located PATRICK J. CAMILLI on the floor on top of 51-year-old Mary E. Huber, who lived at that address. Ms. Huber, who had suffered multiple stab wounds and bruises, was transported to Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, NJ, where she was pronounced deceased. PATRICK J. CAMILLI was transported to Hackensack University Medical Center in Hackensack, NJ, where he is in stable condition following treatment of self-inflicted stab wounds. An investigation conducted by detectives from the Washington Township Police Department and the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit revealed that PATRICK J. CAMILLI murdered Mary E. Huber with a knife. On Sunday, October 24, 2021, PATRICK J. CAMILLI was arrested and charged with one count of first-degree murder, N.J.S.A. 2C:11-3a(1); one count of third-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, N.J.S.A. 2C:39-4d; and one count of fourth-degree unlawful possession of a weapon, N.J.S.A. 2C:39-5d. He is in custody at Hackensack University Medical Center pending his first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, NJ. Prosecutor Musella states that the charges are merely accusations and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, and he would like to thank the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office and the Washington Township Police Department for their assistance in this investigation
