The Township of Washington has a CERT compromised of all volunteers under the direction of Sgt. Fasciano. CERT is a program that trains you to help and assist your family and neighbors during an emergency situation. In an emergency situation there is a possibility that emergency services may not get to you right away so having the CERT training can give you the skills to help emergency responders save lives and protect property.
During an emergency CERT will help provide the following support by giving immediate assistance with damage assessment, shelter support, crowd control, evacuation and medical triage. All responses will be under the direction of our first responders.
If you are interested in becoming a CERT member, it only takes 20 hours’ of training which will give you a lifetime of critical skills that are priceless. We are currently looking for additional CERT members to join our team!
If you are interested in joining and have questions please contact Sgt. Fasciano at 201-664-1140 Extension 319 or by e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please click HERE to obtain a copy of the application and deliver it to the Township of Washington Police Headquarters.
