The Washington Township Police Department is taking part in “Safety Township” Community Policing program.  We started this program in July of 2022 and we had a lot of success!  This program is modeled after “Safety Town”, which is a safety education program designed to teach areas of traffic safety and public safety to kindergarten aged children in a free community program.  The Washington Township Police will be working in conjunction with the Washington Township Library and the Washington Township Municipal Alliance.  In the past we have had visits from the Washington Township Volunteer Fire Department and  the Washington Township Ambulance Corp.  Children from Washington Township, 5-6 years of age can register to attend.  We usually have 25 spots but that may vary.  The program is scheduled to be held at the Washington Township Library parking lot.
