The Township of Washington Office of Emergency Management

 

The Township of Washington Office of Emergency Management under direction of Sgt. Fasciano is dedicated to the preparedness of our community for any type of serious event or emergency. The Township of Washington Office of Emergency Management works in conjunction with State, Federal, County and local authorities.  The goal of the Office of Emergency Management is the rapid restoration of normal routines.

Image result for nj oemOur staff is comprised of OEM coordinator Sgt. Fasciano and under the OEM Coordinator are our C.E.R.T members from the Township of Washington.  The purpose of the CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) program is to train volunteers to care for themselves, their family, their neighbors and finally, their community during an emergency. CERT is a volunteer organization which helps to improve the response and preparedness of the community when needed.

Please take the time to learn about emergency preparedness and discuss it with your family or employees. Having a plan is detrimental during an emergency situation and can save lives.

 

For any alerts or warnings, they will be posted on our website as well as on the Township of Washington Police Departments Twitter account which you can follow at @WashTwpPolice.  We also offer our Swiftreach Alert Program, which is a system that makes phone calls to specific people or areas in the event of an emergency or for sharing important information.
