The County of Bergen has selected to pave from the Hillsdale border at Ell Road to the Paramus border at Linwood Avenue.  The project is expected to begin on or about Monday August 28th and continue until about Wednesday September 20th.  All work on the project will be conducted between the hours of 7:00am until 5:00pm.

Work is expected to begin with concrete work for curbs and A.D.A. compliant sidewalk ramps.  While this work is being conducted, motorists can expect traffic pattern shifts and minor delays in the area. This portion of the project is projected to start on Monday August 28th and continue until Friday September 8th.

Milling operations are expected to begin on Monday September 11th and continue until Friday September 15th.  This portion of the project will require road closures for through traffic, with accommodations made for residents on Pascack Road and in The Washington Commons.

Paving operations are expected to begin on Monday September 18th and continue until Wednesday September 20th.   Road closures to all traffic will be in place in the immediate area of the work zone as the hot asphalt is needed to cool and harden for approximately 45-60 minutes before allowing for vehicular traffic.  Notice to residents will be provided prior to the start of paving operations in the area of their home.

Road closures during milling and paving operations may be fluid to allow for as much vehicular traffic in the area as possible.  The Township of Washington Police Department’s social media platforms will provide notice, as much in advance as possible on where the work zone will be on a particular day. Police Officers will be in the area of the work zone to assist motorists with travel concerns.
