The Township of Washington Police Department would like to alert residents that we are under a “Weather Alert” due to the Nor’easter heading our way. Heavy rain and high winds are expected tonight into tomorrow. The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Watch for Bergen County. from 5am-2pm Saturday. 1-2″ or more of rain is possible and may cause flash flooding. The National Weather Station has also issued a Wind Advisory for Eastern Bergen County which includes the Township of Washington from 1 AM – noon Saturday. Winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph are possible.
There is a possibility that you may loose power with this storm. Please do not call the Police Desk if you do loose power, unless there is an emergency. If you do experience a power outage, below are the ways to report it to PSE&G and stay updated;
