The Washington Township Police Department is hosting its first “Safety Township” Community Policing program that is starting on July 9, 2022.  This program is modeled after “Safety Town”, which is a safety education program designed to teach areas of traffic safety and public safety to kindergarten aged children in a free community program.  The Washington Township Police will be working in conjunction with the Washington Township Library and we will have visits from the Washington Township Volunteer Fire Department and  the Washington Township Ambulance Corp.  Children from Washington Township, 5-6 years of age can apply to attend.  As of right now we have 25 openings.  The program will be held from 9:30 AM – 11:00 AM at the Washington Township Library parking lot (weather pending) every Saturday starting July 9 through July 30.

The schedule is as follows:

  • Saturday July 9, 2022   / 9:30 AM- 11:00 AM- Washington Township Police Department
