Parents…. Do you know where your children are after 10 PM?
The Township of Washington Police are aware of the latest Social Media challenges/pranks that are going viral that
could result in someone getting hurt.
Recently there has been a rash of “Ring, Kick and Run”/ “Ding, Dong Ditch”
on residents’ front doors all over our town. These instances are occurring in the middle of the night.
It is frightening to our residents. This is creating a public alarm and is NOT a joke.
Well…. the joke may be on you. Who knows, maybe you will be the lucky one that gets their photo taken
by a camera system.
We are working on identifying individuals that we currently have on camera. Anyone taking part
of this should be made aware that you will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
There is zero tolerance. These “pranks” may result in Criminal Charges, which is no laughing matter.
We are urging parents to speak to your children about the severity of this.
