The Washington Township Police Department successfully held its third class of Safety Township 2023!

Today the children were able to learn about First Aid!  The Trainees had tours of both Washington Township Ambulances!  They were able to go inside, learn about all the equipment as well as ask questions about anything they saw!  The Trainees saw firsthand how the Washington Township Volunteer Ambulance Corps handles calls and what equipment they use!  They saw and were able to use lights and sirens (which is always a blast!), saw a stretcher come out of the ambulance, learn about safety equipment inside the ambulance and what they do when people are injured and/or sick.  The Washington Township Ambulance Corp demonstrated how to bandage certain injuries, go over First Aid tips and all the Trainees made their own first aid kits!

Special Thanks to the Washington Township Volunteer Ambulance Corps and the following attending members, especially Captain Trevor Landau who made this all possible.  Thank you to Members Bob, Rich, Lindsey, Chris, Eugene, Naomi and Nick as well as their new member, Gabby.  Thank you for taking your time to attend today to teach our Trainees all about First Aid.  If you or anyone you know is interested in joining the Washington Township Volunteer Ambulance Corps, please contact Captain Landau by clicking here.

Below are some pictures of today’s visit!

The Washington Township Volunteer Ambulance Corp is an entirely Volunteer organization, just like the Washington Township Volunteer Fire Department.  We are beyond grateful for the services of both of these Fine and Elite Organizations we are lucky to have!
