The Township of Washington Police Department would like to inform our residents that today February 3, 2024, at approximately 4:42 PM Patrol was dispatched to the 600 block of Chestnut Street on a report of a Suspicious Incident/ Juvenile Matter.

A resident in town reported seeing a white female party, in her mid 30’s, brown hair, medium build, get out of a dark red/maroon colored Toyota sedan (possibly Camry or Corolla).  The female party walked to the rear of the vehicle, assisted whom appeared to be a juvenile (possibly 7-8 years of age), into the trunk of the vehicle before leaving the scene.  The reporting party stated there was no struggle, altercation or dispute while this was occurring.  The vehicle was last seen headed westbound on Washington Avenue towards Pascack Road. It should be noted the car came from eastbound Washington Avenue prior to turning Northbound on Chestnut Street.  The picture below is of the exact vehicle that we are looking for, which was captured on a residents’ security camera.
