Twp. Of Washington P.D. D.A.R.E. Program The T.W.P.D. DARE Program is a comprehensive drug and violence prevention education program taught in the Westwood Regional Schools and Immaculate Heart Academy. The curriculum, written by health education specialists, is taught by highly trained police officers at the elementary, junior high and high school level. A parent program is also offered to residents of the community. The Twp. Of Washington Police were one of the first departments to have a fully operational DARE Program reaching students of all grade levels and their respective parents.
The DARE Program is not the entire solution for drug abuse and violence in society, but it is an effective prevention program that teaches children important life skills. D.A.R.E. is also an excellent community relations program. For further information on the D.A.R.E. Program contact Ptl. Cumming, or Ptl. Vincent Montalbano. For more information on the D.A.R.E.
