Applications for Firearms Permits for residents of The Township of Washington are handled through the Police department. In order to obtain a firearm, you must meet the eligibility requirements and comply with the statutes which govern firearms purchases in the State of New Jersey. Applications for Firearms Purchaser Identification Cards (Initial, Duplicate, Lost Cards and Change of Address) and Pistol Purchase Permits will be done electronically, and can be found by clicking here Firearms Licensing
You must use the following ORI # NJ0026600 for Washington Township Police (Bergen County) when applying. All fees are non-refundable. When completing the online portion, you will need to enter payment directly to NJSP. For The Township of Washington Police Department, our fees are as follows: Initial Firearms Identification Card $5.00 / Purchase Permits $2.00. Township of Washington Police accepts Cash or Check only, paid directly to us when your paperwork is picked up.
