According to forecasters, Friday should get off to a quiet start, but the clouds will thicken in the afternoon as a large storm system drifts into New Jersey from the south and west, bringing batches of heavy rain, along with wind gusts of 40 mph or higher as the storm intensifies overnight Friday into Saturday.
