The Washington Township Police Department in conjunction with the Township of Washington Municipal Alliance is hosting its third “Safety Township” Community Policing program that is going to be held on June 27, 2026. This program is modeled after “Safety Town”, which is a safety education program designed to teach areas of traffic safety and public safety to kindergarten aged children (5-6 Years of age) in a free community program. The Washington Township Police will be working in conjunction with the Washington Township Library. We will have visits from the Washington Township Volunteer Fire Department and the Washington Township Volunteer Ambulance Corp. Children from Washington Township, 5-6 years of age can apply to attend. As of right now we have 25 openings. This year, the program will be held on one day from 09:00 AM – 12:30 PM at the Washington Township Emergency Services Building (656 Washington Ave, Twp of Washington NJ 07676).
